SKL Inc. is proud to announce the official opening of the new school building at Viengkham Lower Secondary School. The village of Viengkham is located 2 1/2 hours drive north of the capital, Vientiane. The school accommodates 235 students, many of whom were housed in a dilapidated structure. They are thrilled to move into their brand new SKL building. SKL's contribution to the campus also includes sanitary washrooms and a deep well water supply.

Radio-Canada Television's documentary featuring SKL Inc.'s humanitarian works in Laos will be broadcast on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 6:30 PM CST on Radio-Canada Television (CBC - French).
The documentary was produced by veteran video journalist Denis Chamberland who accompanied SKL Inc. on its December 2012 school inauguration trip. The documentary also showcases Father Gérard Dionne's works in Laos.

SKL Inc. is proud to announce that the construction of the Ban Pakxoun school construction project has officially started today June 1st, 2013 , thanks to the generosity of individual donors from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and corporate sponsors and organizations. We would also like to emphasize the participation of the citizens of Ban Pakxoun and the Pak Kading school district for supplying the sand and gravel fetching from the nearby Nam Kading river.

We are pleased to announce the results of our May 4th, 2013, Night Market Fundraiser Dinner. SKL Inc. was able to raise over $7,000 toward the construction of the Ban Pakxoun primary school thanks to all of our generous donors from Manitoba, Calgary, Montreal, San Francisco and Washington D.C.
We also would like to thank Radio-Canada TV for choosing to premiere the documentary on SKL at our event, Mr. Thep Thavonsouk, the world renowned painter for his donation of paintings, Friends of SKL group for their numerous silent auction baskets, all the cooks for their authentic delicious Lao cuisine, The Lao Women Association for putting on the fabulous fashion show, The Lao Folk Dancers for their colourful performance, Jonny Olsen and Marijosee for their performances. Last but not least, we would like to thank our loyal supporters, volunteers, friends and families whose supports contributed to make this event our most successful fundraiser.
